Arthur’s Seafood Restaurant (The Village Centre 29-31 Windsor Rd, Kellyville) is one of those places where it feels casual like your local restaurant but is great for special occasions. normally me and noods stick to the mains and maybe dessert but this time we were starving and also ordered an entree each.
duck liver pate ($12.90)
see how its yellow? thats the butter… and hidden underneath was the pate and what fantastic pate it was… ooohh heart stopping fatty goodness… trouble was there wasnt enough bread and i ended up piling the bread with about 2cm thick of pate. do people normally put that much pate on one slice of bread? like i want to savour my pate! not eat it as if it were cream… mmm cream…
beef carpaccio (19.50)
this was a tad expensive but mmm very tasty! thin slices of beef with truffle dressing, baby capers and rocket salad. however i like my foods either hot or cold and not lukewarm… otherwise it feels too much like flesh…
seafood pasta ($26.90)
how can you not like pasta in a creamy white wine and garlic sauce? (thats right you cant) i always prefer seafood pasta in cream sauce than tomato based sauce… there was plenty of fresh mussels and an overpopulation of prawns swimming around.
noods got the veal ‘special’ ($33)
when the lady was describing the veal she didnt say scallopini at all so we were expecting chunks of veal so noods was kinda upset that his prawns were bigging than the veal considering he cant eat prawns lol
last not least passionfruit creme brulee ($12.90)
oh baby oh baby! i was so full but noods told me to get it. becos he knows me too well haha i like tapping the golden sugar top like a crazy little leprechaun (taptaptap rubshandsgleefully)
Back to home
i like to whack the creme brulee as hard as i can heh
— noods Jul 16, 10:15 PM #I’m a seafood addict and the picture of those prawns on the veal as well as that creamy seafood pasta is making me hungry…yum!
— Ellie Jul 17, 12:28 AM #Passionfruit creme brulee! Yum!
That sure is a lot of pate. Prob with the bread situation is if you fill up on carbs, you can never finish the rest of your meal!
— helen Jul 17, 02:31 AM #pasta! mussels! passionfruit! = mmm
— amie Jul 18, 10:59 PM #noods: yes you crazy thing
— chocolatesuze Jul 19, 07:08 PM #ellie: it was very very good and they have seafood platters! but havent tried yet
helen: yeh at eat city too much bread couldnt enjoy rest of food but i just felt so uneven eating mouthfuls of pate
amie: hehe nummynummy
