mmm satay… golden brown morsels of chicken on skewers grilled over an open fire…
but where could this be? in malaysia? surely not for i would miss my favourite teevee shows!
fear not for i can enjoy satay from the realms of my backyard! my dad the satay king hard at work:
and apparently those big flames which are so much fun to look at are not good for the satay… instead, smaller but much hotter flames are wanted. and a bottle of beer for the smoke waving cardboard holder…
Back to home
how weird is that, my dad was cooking satays tonight too…did you have the all-time favourite satay sauce to go with it?
— Audz Aug 12, 11:32 PM #Heh, did your Dad bat you with his hi-tech purpose fanner after you took that photo?
The satay looks great.
— helen Aug 12, 11:36 PM #I don’t know why but your dad always makes me laugh, even back in our kernels days when he’d come and pick you up, so everytime he makes a blog appearance i always find myself quietly laughing.
— marj Aug 13, 09:55 AM #those are the chunkiest satays i’ve ever seen (-: that’s what makes home cooking so great
