my dad caught up with one of his old school friends and for some reason i manged to get myself invited to their dinner at shang palace at the shangrila hotel hohoho

is it just me or is shang a realli crummy name for a restaurant?

hee so cute lah! i like pretty presentations! the combination dimsum platter came with wugok, vegetable spring roll, siu mai and har gao. the siu mai was the best and the spring roll not so best…

Braised sun dried scallop soup with fungus in broth. lol good thing i read the menu after eating… couldnt they have said mushroom not fungus… it was tasty tho kinda like sharksfin soup minus the sharksfin…

Suckling pig and barbecue meat combination platter. oohhh i loooove the skin on suckling pig! crispy and crunchy and oodles of flavour ie fat equals tastiness mmm

Baked crab shell with minced seafood. i thought it was cheese so i took a giant spoonful and was sadly disappointed. i should know better than to expect cheese on a chinese banquet menu lol my dad passed me his after 1 bite and im like dudeee this dun taste so good dont give it to meee

Chicken… yeah cant remember what style haha my bad. it was ok. its chicken.

Fried rice with diced seafood and fragrant minced garlic. ooh tasty rice but i couldnt find no seafood. lies all lies

Chilled mango pudding. pud! i love me puds! altho chocolate chopstick does not go well with citrusy desserts… heh you see the grey seed things? i thought it was like kiwi fruit but grey but apparently its dragon fruit puree!
