dominos meat pie pizza

dominos MEAT PIE PIZZA is hereeee! as soon as noods saw this in the papers the other day i knew i would be having the meat pie pizza for dinner and it seems so have alot of food bloggers: beverly, pickos and kate


what with all the hype surrounding it i was prepared to dislike it but i was pleasantly surprised with the toppings of minced beef, gravy, mozza cheese, onion, fresh tomato, peas, shortcrust pastry for the ‘lid’ of the pie and topped with a swirl of tomato sauce. i like meat pies mainly because of the gravy and pastry but not so much the meat… and i like pizzas but i usually get the cheeselovers pizza… so it was pretty good combo but maybe not with the peas…


it looks a helluva lot better in the promo pic but it was still pretty tasty! my shortcrust meatpie lid mustve moved in the oven becos i couldnt shift it over to make it look prettier… we got it on the thin and crispy base and it wasnt overly oily which was good and it didnt drip everywhere like a normal meatpie which is even better. i could have done without the peas because im not a fan of peas but it wasnt completely mushy so i guess im ok with them there. but i have never had peas in any meat pie before… hmm. ooh i realli liked the gravy mmm and the fresh tomato! i wonder if its possible to order it without the peas… haha i can imagine dominos taking calls with people asking can we have half half? and no gravy? or extra pastry? lol customers are FANTASTIC people!


cheesey garlic bread. aw letdown the bread was cold so all the cheese had congealed so we had to whack it in the microwave to nuke the congealyness back into its cheesey goodness form.


and the brownies haha i knew from beverlys post that the box was gonna be bigger than the actual bar of brownies but i was not expecting such a huge gap! i mean youd think theyd make the box smaller so its not so obvious or that itd be cheaper to use a smaller box… eh. the brownies were fantastic tho! smooth chocolatey brownie goodness with NO NUTS BWAHAHAHAHA thats my idea of a perfect brownie or at least with a tiny amount of nuts. mine did come with sauce but the lid was half open so i decided i didnt want to be poisoned and ate the brownies by themselves. but they were tasty without the sauce! mmm brownies dusted with icing sugar i think i will order you by yourself for lunch 2moro…

1. Were your brownies frozen? Ours were frozen and that was just WEIRD. And I agree with the no nuts thing – I always ask if brownies have nuts in them (because I hate nuts) and I’m thrilled when they say no! :)

   And ya, the brownies are a bit dumb in that they’re so small.. not happy since they’re SO GOOD I wanted heaps more! Perfect brownies :)~

3. hahha you’re pizza looked a little different to mine. I wish I had a bit more tomato sauce! but from now on i’m sticking with the usual flavours i get.

4. I am quite anti-peas too, but have been too afraid to try this pizza yet! I’m new to Australia and the whole meat pie obsession…was it really worth it?

5. katie: mine were room temperatureish? altho i dont mind my foods at strange temperatures… lol im with ya with the nuts!
   beverly: hehe i have a craving for that pizza now and ohmygod the other day i ordered the brownies by themself and they gave us BLONDIES
   emily: yeah the sauce made a difference i reckon! hehe i dont think ppl would eat the meat pie pizza on a regular basis
