we supply a coffee chain (which shall remain nameless) on the mid north coast so we decided to take a lil road trip up to port macquarie to visit the store and see how our biscuits are doing.

it takes about 4 and a half hours to drive to port macquarie… when i was little we used to drive to brisbane… about halfway there at bulahdelah we would stop at this giant fake rock that was to represent ayers rock. you would pay to go inside and look at all the history, culture etc and then youd get to go and climb the top. unfortunately it prolly didnt do too well and its been turned into a servo and info rest stop.

heh did u see my gingy? onli $2 from woolies!

port macquarie!

memorial

mmm lunch time. fish and chips from macquarie seafoods

4 pieces of battered fishys $18 mmm giant slabs of fish flesh

fishy and chippy $7

potato scallop 80c and corn fritter $1.30. haha the corn fritter was interesting it was just a square of compressed corn and breaded and deep fried but the corn kernels were so juicy!

banana fritter $1.80 this banana fritter was awesome! a beautifully sweet and ripe banana encased in a thin crispy batter with a dusting of icing sugar mmm a perfect ending to lunchies

and a very very good coffee to end the day. the chocolate ball is chocolate covered ginger mmm i looove candied ginger! lol no shots of the store because i dont want this blog to be linked to them just in case… oh and drinking coffee before a 4hr car trip home is not a good idea because not onli will you be bouncing off the walls but you will need to pee…
Back to home
i came SO CLOSE to buying one of those $2 gingerbread men. i did think of you when i saw it. you are raising an army aren’t you?
