so a trip to the city which was meant to be a quick lunch ended with me buying 3 boxes of cakey goodness from Breadtop, Barby’s and Puffy Cookie Puff which strangely are all orange themed…

heehee boxes! i like cute packaging! i prefer the boxes to bags so my cakey goodness doesnt get all squished. i had no intention of buying so much cake but i got suckered into the pretty presentations haha

from breadtop i got the taro gateau, mango gateau and baked cheesecake. my favourite was the mango gateau with fresh chunks of mango and each layer of sponge smothered in cream

from puffy cookie puff (World Square Shop 9 K2 World Square Shopping Centre 680 George St) i got 6 vanilla cream filled puffs and yes i know theres a lot of debate on whether beard papas is better but its all the way over in chatswood which is a bit of a trek so puffy wins for now

from Barby’s (396 Sussex St, cnr Goulburn St, Haymarket) i got a melon donut and a durian donut. the melon didnt go very well as a filling and the durian was just a tad better but i loved the doughnut itself without the filling it tasted like a cross between a light and airy krispy kreme donut and a donut king cinnamon donut

also from barby’s i tried their range of puffs and got the lychee and the durian puff and preferred eating the filling than the actual puff… did i mention i ate all the cakes and donuts in one sitting…
