there hasnt been alot of eating out lately for the boy and i are attempting to save money and i have been making random dinners like taco night and lamb night and kangaroo night and last fri i was told he would make dinner for me but instead took me to a korean bbq hurhur ah wells its the thought that counts right?

one glorious day long ago we were walking thru mosman attempting to find an icecream store but instead found a bakery and sitting nestled among flaky buttery pastries and chocolatey dense cakes was this golden beauty the beloved cream horn but alas the pastry was dry and hard and so i ate just the cream…

and is it easter already? for whats easter without hot cross buns? or hot cross krispy kreme donut buns? the cinnamon hot cross bun has a lovely sweet cinnamony taste but im not a fan of the ‘cream’ filling and the chocolate hot cross bun tastes exactly like how i wished the devils food donut would be in puffy round form…
Back to home
I always find the cream horns look fabulous but the pastry is like plaster-this is whereever I go. I guess the moral of the story for me is look but don’t buy lol
— Lorraine E Mar 11, 02:03 PM #OHMIGODDDDDDD. i LOVE cream horns!!!! LOVE. that one looks like the best one ever. i have never seen the cream come out of the horn before—truly the horn of plenty. lucky you. but you know what i like? when they have the sticky red syrup jam swirled on the cream too.
ahem.
meanwhile, i have been eyeing those hot cross doughnuts every time i walk past town hall station. i think today might be the day i actually get one.
— bowb Mar 12, 10:45 AM #lorraine: lol moral is make your own! with more cream to pastry ratio mmm
— chocolatesuze Mar 13, 06:18 PM #bowb: mine had jam! in the middle a lovely red river of gooiness ah sweet
