it’s happened to us all. we stare blankly at the pictorial menu undecided on what to eat, choose the prettily photographed meal and then receive a meal that looks NOTHING like what the picture shows.

oportos big brekkie. sure does look purty

REALITY HITS! lol not so purty now are ya! heh we bought this at parra food court at 10.30am. the butter on the bread was such a lurid yellow i could barely stand to look at it but the boy just shrugs and scrapes away the oil/grease that has pooled on the bacon rashes haha he said it tasted ‘ok’ tho and i give the hashbrown 2 thumbs up. i like hashbrowns.

hungry jacks brekky wrap

aw how sad looking. lol it looks pretty close to the pic if a little thin but the boy deems this as tasting of fail! haha anyone else ordered via photos from a menu and not getting what they wanted? [the ‘before’ photos from respective websites here and here]
Back to home
I don’t think the second one was all that far off. I’ve having this happen so many times, and after watching that Ponds commercial where they do up an ordinary looking woman to look like a supermodel, I always assume it’ll look worse than displayed.
Anyhow, what can you expect from a fast food joint? In that situation I’d actually be more suspicious if the food looked as advertised. I’d wonder whether they’d accidentally given me the plastic display model :)
— Simon Mar 20, 02:57 AM #What is that brown thing on the plate with a hole in it? Looks like chicken? Looks revolting! Maybe need a blindfold next time. I think those plastic Japanese models of ramen noodles are never like the real thing.
— Belle Mar 20, 01:08 PM #lol I agree with Belle! If that is suppose to be the egg, it’s the funniest egg I’ve ever seen.
Well the Big Mac is a feel, it always looks 5 times smaller than the one on display.
— Howard Mar 20, 02:47 PM #some dude went on today/tonight to complain about the maccas pics a few years back. that the quarter pounder looks nothing like the picture
— Audz Mar 20, 03:14 PM #Hahahaha this is sooo true eh?
— Yas Mar 20, 05:05 PM #BUT. You’ve got to go to Mos Burger in Japan – you’d get a burger just like on the menu!
That butter on the bread looks horrible, actually not much of the meals looks appealing…
— Anita Mar 20, 08:49 PM #the oportos breakfast looked like shit but tasted ok…though i thought the eggs was the bacon…
— noods Mar 20, 09:41 PM #simon: yeah the 2nd one looked the best but tasted the worst haha and maccas brekkie stuff usually looks like the picture!
— chocolatesuze Mar 21, 01:57 AM #belle: LOL its an egg! gross huh! ooh i like the jap food displays!
howard: yeah maccas burgers seem to be shrinking however they seem to be more generous with fries stuffage
auds: lol too pretty? like the dude who complained about his plane food?
yas: ah but all the food in japan is awesome no?
anita: heh its neon yellow! sure is healthy =P
noods: hey i tried to warn you! next time try kfc heh
