yup i know im the last to post about the merivale winter feasts im sorry dudes but finally the craziness of the good food and wine show is over so hopefully i can catch up on the backlog of posts. also this was the night that my poor baby started showing signs of sickness. that’s right my ol trusty canon dslr is on its last legs oh the sadness hmm anyone know of anyplace selling cheap cameras? or who wants to sponsor me! eh eh eh? anyways moving on…

we are gathered here tonight at Establishment for the Merivale Winter Feasts launch party for a preview of this seasons lunch and dinner options at the Merivale restaurants of Ash Street Cellar, Bistro CBD, est., Lotus, Mad Cow, sushi e, Teppanyaki and Uccello. much thanks to the awesome melissa from merivale who scored the foodbloggers a vip invite to the party so we could enter early and snap some photos of the food before the masses arrived!

mmm wine lol im sure you’ve seen everyone elses post about the launch so ill keep mine short and sweet

first stop is the fabulous dan hong at lotus

the super delicious prosciutto san daniele and grissini from Ucello

tuscan beef stew and braised beef cheek tarts from est.

tartare of ocean trout, cucumber, ponzu and coriander from est.

Avocado, king crab and mint on lavosh from est.

gougeres – cheesy choux puffs from bistro cbd

and look who i found! michelle from mastchef heh heh she was a bit amused at me being all fangirl and asking for a photo lol

steamed snapper and fennel soup with gremolata from ash st cellar

filo tartlet with mascarpone realle, honey quince puree and roasted hazelnuts from ash st cellar
