singapore part 5

  9 November 2009

2 more posts of singapore to go i swear! haha and then back to your normal broadcasting of junk food and candy mmm candy… so anyways Mr Gadget had earlier on proclaimed his love of Singapore Chilli Crabs and so we found ourselves at No Signboard Restaurant (Vivo City, 1 Harbourfront Walk, #03-02, Vivo City). Oh yes the restaurant is called No Signboard! Apparently the founder Mdm Ong Kim Hoi first started her restaurant in the Mattar Rd Hawker Centre without a signboard and word of mouth kept referring them as the stall with no signboard. So hai oh look coconut juice!

The Chilli Singapore Crab is first to arrive and look at all the saucy goodness oh baby it was perfect! Crab with plenty of flesh and it is demolished even before the other 2 crabs arrive

Butter Crab. We had been hoping the butter crab would be loaded with buttery deepfried goodness but sadly it is not to be. The crab was still tasty but there was no sauce or fried bits to fight over

The White Pepper Crab was so very moreish and came a very close second in my preference for the chilli crab

Fried buns arrive and they are the perfect vehicle for scooping up leftover sauce. Helen and i chortle with glee when they arrive for they are perfect- golden and crisp on the outside with pillow soft innards

Steamed buns are also ordered but everyone loves the fried buns so much that we end up ordering 3 more serves hoho

A mountain of fried rice is also ordered incase the 3 crabs weren’t enough…

CHEEEEESEEEE! Our fabulous eating group of bloggers: Super Kawaii Mama, Living Footprints, Michael Aulia, Monoxious, Mr Gadget and Grab Your Fork. Big thanks to Dave for the awesome meal!
