Super Easy Crazy Maccas Brekkie
Crazy Maccas Brekkie- is this not the most ludicrous thing you have ever seen? Stuff you will need for tightass but awesome pancakes: 1 x Hotcakes ($3.55), 1 x apple pie ($2.25), 1 x soft serve cone ($0.50)
Is this not the most ludicrous thing you have ever seen? Ohoho crazy and ridiculous? Yes. But oh baby was it tasty!

OH HAI! So every now and then I get crazy cravings for pancakes and rather than spending a heapload at a certain pancake chain I thought I’d make my own at good ol mickey d’s though it was pretty tough waking up before 10.30am to make it in time for breakfast lol

You don’t really need step by step instructions do ya? Lols step 1, cut up your pie!

Step 2, top hotcakes with apple pie pieces

Step 3, drizzle on your included maple syrup

And finally, step 4, whack on your soft serve! Tee hee happy Wednesday!
Hayashi Teppanyaki Restaurant, Castle Hill

It was Noods’ mum’s, grandmother’s and grandfather’s b’day so we rocked up to Hayashi Teppanyaki Restaurant (Mont Ro Gardens 23 Terminus Street, Castle Hill) for the ‘Matsu’ Banquet Teppanyaki ($37) and spotted the crew from YaYa’s Yum Yums hihi!
We started off with an entree of a yakitori glazed chicken skewer, a bite sized square of deep fried fish and a bowl of miso soup. And yes I’ve just started learning to appreciate beer teehee
Prawnies! Since the boy is now certifiably allergic to prawns I’ve had a noticeably lack of prawns in my diet and so these 2 prawns were barely enough to sate my prawn deprived soul.
Grilled calamari are delicate scrolls so ethereally tender. Like a cloud. Of squid.
Unfortch I was seated to the side of the teppanyaki grill so only had a side view of the action but woohoo grill full o meats!
Thick slices of chicken were coated in a tasty teriyaki sauce. Up until now there was no food thrown at me…
But of course that was about to change when the chef brought out some eggs… there were some unfortunate breakages but lol it was all in good fun
The eggs that were caught safely were cracked into a bowl and whisked and then spread onto the grill to cook for the fried rice
And of course once the fried rice was done you could only get your food if you had a go at catching the flying bowl hehe gooooo Moya!
Noods is the world’s unluckiest teppanyaki catcher and always manages to drop everything haha

WOOHOO FIRE!!!

Our last course were nubbins of steak and was love at first bite. Seriously it was just so damn juicy and delicious! And of course the fire show might have made it just that much tastier 😛

Crispy prawn shells and heads were also offered to us but as I have issues with prawn eyes I stuck to nibbling on the legs mmm crunchy

A super cute white dog cake from Breadtop is the perfect way to end our meal, the cake surprisingly soft under the layer of icing

Happy birthday kids!

be safe
to the peeps in queensland, be safe. i’m unable to concentrate for very long without hitting refresh on the news sites so a short break in chocolatesuze-land while hopefully the rains subside, the waters recede and australians can start picking up the pieces. if you can help please do.

Kaizen BBQ, North Ryde – Closed
Kaizen BBQ in Macquarie Shopping Centre (Level 4, Store 408, Corner of Herring and Waterloo Roads, North Ryde) for a meatilicious lunch of wagyu rib finger, wagyu skirt beef, wagyu chuck roll
Edit: CLOSED

OH HAI! How was your weekend dudes? Mine was spent searching for watches in particular a raphael ninja turtle flip watch but failing dismally so to cheer me up the boy and I went to Kaizen BBQ in Macquarie Shopping Centre (Level 4, Store 408, Corner of Herring and Waterloo Roads, North Ryde) for a meatilicious lunch
We didn’t think we could manage the all you can eat bbq ($32) let alone the all you can eat wagyu bbq ($38) so settled on ordering a la carte. We got some awesome complimentary banchan in very pretty bowls. How cute is the star bowl! It held a mound of cream cheese submerged in a tomato soup topped with sprouts. There was also uber spicy kimchi, zucchini tempura, slice of prosciutto and salad.
Marinated Wagyu Rib Finger ($18). Not sure if you guys want to see plates of uncooked meat but hey scroll past if you want! Much lols was had at the sight of the random corn cob in the middle of the plate!
Whenever we go to a korean bbq joint it’s just so addictive to continuously add meat to the grill and turning them over! Had a bit of a problem with turning the ribs cos some of the pieces were a bit small and were slipping thru the grate nuuu wasted!
Noods likes meat
Wagyu Skirt Beef ($18). The menu had in brackets (Flap) which weirded me out. Flaps. Of meat. MEAT FLAPS?! Taste wise it was ok, flavoursome and nicely marbled.
Let’s not dwell on the grossness that is the imagery of ‘meat flaps’… This plate was the Wagyu Chuck Roll ($21) and was so awesome and had BAGS of flavour!
Melt in the mouth meat with edges of drool worthy fat, we managed to finish all of the Wagyu chuck roll in < 10 mins and ended up ordering a second plate which meant we totally could’ve done the buffet and saved… $2 lol
Sometimes you just want to bbq things and see ‘what happens’
Next time we’re coming back for the wagyu all you can eat and we’ll not have eaten anything for at least 24 hours hehe
