Happy Chinese New Year!

4 February 2011, 00:27

Happy Chinese New Year dudes! Our reunion dinner was at Istana Restaurant (238/230 Pennant Hills Road, Thornleigh) for some mighty tasty yee sang aka the colourful salad of abundance. Check out the julienned radish, carrot, lettuce, kaffir lime, fluro red pickles, slivers of slippery jellyfish, crunchy fried noodle nubbins; topped with fat slices of super fresh salmon sashimi and drizzled with a sweet sauce that’s filled with sesame seeds, crushed peanuts and pumpkin seeds.

Lo hei lo hei toss toss toss! May your good fortune rise up! hehe edit: lol dont worry miss catty i took 3 pics and quickly shoved my chopsticks in to toss!

With a clean house and plenty of peanut cookies baked, here’s our random fruit offering… tho I’m sure more ‘normal’ households would have their prosperity fruit placed in a more traditional manner lol sorry for such a short post dudes but I have been absolutely buggered this week and this heat is not making life any easier ugh. Anywhos gong xi fa choy! Happy Year of the Rabbit! This weekend is our annual rellies reunion, what have you guys got planned?
