My fav moment is taking the time every morning to sit down with my lovely partner and share a cup of coffee sip by sip :)
— Mia Feb 21, 08:43 AM #Having a few close friends to come around for a cuppa and recall the good old times.
— Margaret Feb 21, 09:55 AM #My favourite coffee moment happens everyday! After groaning at the alarm clock, forcing myself to exercise and then flicking on the kettle, the radio and the computer (in that order), I can sit down to a quiet moment indulging in reading some of my favourite blogs, catching up on emails, listening to ABC classic FM and enjoying a coffee.
— Kim Feb 21, 10:43 AM #Then the rest of the house wakes up…….
My favourite coffee moment was after I had somehow managed to knock my entire family’s dinner off the table onto the floor. I was about to burst in to tears when my grandmother put an arm around me and said “Hmmm, it probably would have gone straight to my hips anyway.. lets just make some coffee” followed by my family laughing hysterically to this day whenever it gets brought up in conversation.
— Sunny Feb 21, 11:24 AM #Wen my fiancé prosposed to me at a cute cafe, he (actually we ) were so nervous and happy that when he tried to put the ring on the wrong finger he dropped it into my cup of honey latte..
— Anita Feb 21, 11:47 AM #It was the sweetest latte ever =)
Monday Morning.
— Fiona Feb 21, 12:12 PM #Favourite coffee moment: that first sip of coffee every single morning before a day of hectic crapness!
— Gastronomous Anonymous Feb 21, 12:16 PM #Ahh my favourite coffee moment.. Imagine me as the unwilling participant of a bus tour in Western China, Yunnan province. Forced off the bus at a tourist pitstop somewhere between Shangri-La and Kunming, we’re told that we’re here to taste Yunnan’s specialty coffee. We’re given tags to wear and ushered inside a non-descript building by the side of the highway. The design is like the big supermarkets here – one way entry only, exit past the cash register, walk through the entire store to reach the essentials.. Except that the shelves are sidled up side-by-side, arranged in such a way that if I ever want to leave I literally have to walk past every single friggin item in the store which is like a bloody maze to find my way to the exit. What would normally take 5 seconds to cover from door to door at a medium pace ensues in a 20 minute bolt to freedom. The coffee was disgusting too. There was a coconut coffee of some description which tasted like rancid coconut oil mixed with coffee extract. All of the regular coffees were overwhelmingly bitter and syrupy and sickly sweet. A random Walmart I walked into in Dali was selling Moccona instant coffee gift packs for about 4 times the price of ‘special’ Yunnan Coffee.. And now I know why.
— cathy x. Feb 21, 12:31 PM #Before my boyfriend and I had met each other’s parents, we always stayed out as late as possible when we went out so that that we could spend as much time together as possible. This sometimes got me into a bit of trouble. On one of those late nights, we decided over a Gloria Jeans that I would finally meet his parents =]
— Lil Feb 21, 02:31 PM #My favourite coffee moment happens every Friday afternoon. It involves me, my mum, the couch, coffee, dark chocolate, and The West Wing/Gilmore Girls.
— Hannah Feb 21, 03:43 PM #Ahhh, my favourite coffee moment is every morning, as soon as I get to work.
In order to ‘trick’ myself into looking forward to work, I ban myself from breakfast and coffee until I get there. This motivates me to drag myself out of bed, get dressed, and get on the road as quickly as possible!
It’s a bit sad, but it’s got to the point where I get excited about my morning coffee the night before… I lie in bed thinking about how awesome it’ll be to get to work the next day.
I’ve extended this ‘mind-trick’ by abstaining from coffee on the weekends… it means I actually anxiously await Monday mornings!
It’s a sad little life I lead :D
— Lizzi Feb 21, 03:55 PM #Going to order my coffee and then realising the barista was my friend from primary school!
— moocho Feb 21, 10:59 PM #hehe i just came back from elb, the city of great cafes and coffee!
— milkteaxx Feb 22, 12:05 AM #i love my coffeeeeeee!
my fav moment? @ min lokal fitzroy, a cafe in the residental area full of terraces, the teapot are cute and the coffee is just to die for, im tempted to fly back for some now! xD
Every morning. After baby has gone back to sleep. Wait, baby never was asleep. Oh, that’s right – baby likes to scream and make conversation ALL NIGHT. Mummy tired. So Mummy likes coffee. Mummy needs coffee. Mummy also needs tea and coke and chocolate. But mostly coffee.
Cooooffffffffeeeee #blank stare#
— KatieLovesWags Feb 22, 09:49 AM #mmm… smelling a freshly opened jar of coffee.. then looking forward to using all of it so i can get my paws on the empty moccona jar cause it’s the best air tight jar there is to store my goodies coz i’m tight :)
— Amy Feb 22, 05:56 PM #I consciously decided to stay away from coffee for the past 23 years vowing never to give in to this unhealthy addiction. First day at a new job for me was tiring, hectic, and stressful.A walk to the lunchroom, and an accidental sip of the milky, irresistably aromatic, smooth velvety taste of the coffee my friend made (it wasn’t even anything good- just instant coffee!), and I was S.O.L.D. Since then, the trips to the staff room for my coffee are the highlight of my day. What addiction? I’m only learning how to enjoy life better.
— Linda Feb 22, 08:02 PM #One of my favourite coffee pastimes is to try and figure out the shorthand the baristas use to try and remember who gets what coffee. Normally I am L for lady, and generally another letter designating what colour I am wearing that day. My favourite/funniest coffee moment was realising that the new barista recognised me with an “L” for lady (phew!) but used a downward pointing arrow… presumably recognising me as the short person :(
— Annie Feb 23, 10:37 PM #When the lid of my take away cup fell off as i went to take a sip of my coffee through the hole in the lid. I created a new style of coffee washed jeans.
— Annie Feb 25, 01:40 AM #My favourite coffee moment was when i arrived at work one morning, bolted to the kitchen for my morning coffee hit, and the coffee jar was empty.
i spent the next 15 minutes scavenging through the draws, the fridge, in despair, and then to my amazement i found someone had a stash of moccona in a tupperware box in the fridge, so i discreetly removed a teaspoon of grains from their stash and promptly placed it into my cup, closing the fridge quickly hoping no-one saw. Ahhh, my morning coffee was so gooood.
Then i started feeling so guilty i wrote a little stick on note for them saying ‘i owe you a teaspoon of moccona’.
— chris and sara elliott Feb 25, 10:59 AM #My favourite coffee moment was when I came off decaf and was able to have REAL coffee after giving birth to my son! The most delicious moment in my coffee drinking life!
— Bec Feb 28, 06:48 PM #I love the first Iced Coffee of the summer! Man, when that heat hits is a mashed up icy creamy coffee confection not the best thing out?
— Kayty-do-dah Mar 1, 09:58 AM #Um, favourite coffee moment, making one for myself after serving it for 3 hrs! Delaying the moment helps me get through the peak hour…something to look forward to..xo
— Anna Mar 2, 11:15 AM #My favourite coffee moment was at the Adelaide Central Markets where I had a beautiful strong Italian coffee at one of the great cafes. The taste was a real coffee flavour and the beans had been roasted to perfection.
— Shar Mar 5, 01:21 PM #My moment begins before my coffee is actually in my hand. The guys from the coffee shop at work always put a smile on my face as they take my order and make my coffee.
