Jodie & Brandon's Wedding

2 March 2011, 01:18

I ♥ weddings! Aren’t they just such joyous occasions? Jodie and Brandon celebrated their special day declaring their love on the wharf at the beautiful Pyrmont Point Park. Standing against a backdrop of the Harbour Bridge, there was bubbles, laughter and much love.

The beyootiful bride and her dad rocking up the aisle.

Crazy sweet vows

Here’s to Mr and Mrs Nguyen!

Hello girlies

Josh & Noods. Um.

And then dinner reception at Silver Pearl Seafood Restaurant (1st floor, 111 John St, Cabramatta) where Hennessy is the drink of choice :P

The best suckling pig crackling at a wedding EVAHHHH! Perfectly crisp tiles of delicious porcine beauty atop slabs of juicy meat. We were luckily sitting with 2 people who didn’t eat pork, and Will was sick so woohoo extra portions! Hear that Will? You missed out big time!

Steamed oysters and also steamed abalone! EEEEE I heart abalone! Delicious creatures of the sea all fat and juicy with shavings of shallots and ginger, topped with sprigs of coriander and doused in a sweet soy vinaigrette.

Crab claws with a difference! Each ball was packed full of crab-y goodness and not those pathetic imitations at the local fish and chip shop down the road. Unless of course you live down the road from the beach. Then usually those stores are good. Um. Moving along.

Lobster with ginger and shallots get in mah belly! Thankfully the majority of the lobster shell had been removed leaving huge pieces of lobster meat atop a bed of crispy fried noodles.

Pigeon. While the skin was golden and crisp, unfortunately the meat was a tad on the chewy side.

Sharks fin soup. I don’t really advocate sharks fin soup but also I’m not a huge fan of soup with texture. Floaty bits yo.

Basket o plenty- sauteed scallops and vegetables in a noodle basket uh oh stomach at explodey point.

Oh gawd so much food! Could barely touch the steamed fish

Lol let alone the fried rice! Sadly no cake but I appreciated the gigantic platter of fruits which had super juicy slices of watermelon.

Super love to the photobooth! So much funs teehee! Congrats Jodie and Brandon! Here’s to a wonderful life together!

  5. Whoa, how good does that banquet look – I want to go to a Vietnamese wedding so I can indulge in such a feast.

I’m with you on the shark fin soup though – poor finless sharks sinking to the bottom of the ocean…not noice at all.
