OH HAI! Oh lookie lookie what am I holding? Oh yeah baby that’s right it’s a bag of pork crackle! Let’s just close our eyes at the crazy amount of sodium and cholesterol that’s in my hands and imagine the deliciousness that I am chomping on right now as I’m writing this at 1am…

The area where I work has a crazy amount of shops filled with delicious treats and that bag of fat laden crisps came from the wonders that is Lucky Thai Sweets and Video (Shop 645, 40-45 Campbell St, Haymarket)

Like, woah man look at the incredibly well stocked fridge! Cans upon cans of all the flavours of the soft drink rainbow and of course the working man’s/woman’s pre packed lunch of choice.

But of course I tend to gravitate towards the sweets- especially the tubs of sweet glutinous rice topped with thai custard.

Haven’t tried the uber neon orange things at the back but the ta-ko haew aka water chestnut with coconut custard topping is a winner

Aaand snaffled this box of cendol with the fluro green jelly and palm sugar syrup tho I totes had issues with the taro pieces.

I leave you all with this pic of a shelf full of packets of crackle…

— Sara @ Belly Rumbles May 4, 01:13 AM #Ahh I love this place. Have you tried the chicken crackling? The orange sweets are made from egg yolk and very syrupy. I like the ones that look like balls of string the best.
