You know how most people start off a holiday post with a pic out the window of the sky? Helen, Minh and I were way too engrossed in playing with the chat function on the tvs in the plane. Seriously we were so busy playing multi player games that we barely noticed we’d taken off!

We were headed to Nuffnang’s Blogopolis Conference in Melbourne and after dumping our luggage at the hotel we head off to find some lunch. But first: OH LOOK A RAINBOW!

Naked For Satan (285 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy, Melbourne) is on our hit list, a pinxtos bar offering freaking delicious toppings on crusty slices of baguette. Normally $2 a slice, the awesome pinxtos are a crazy 80c each during lunch on weekdays and we fill our plates from the selection at the front of the room. The eggplant chip with blue cheese is a winner with us as well as the baked potato smothered in cheese and the prawn on spiced cauliflower puree.

Of course how can we go past a few alcoholic beverages with the impending doom of having to speak in front of 300 people weighing on our minds ahahaha

We’d planned our trip well, and by ‘well’ I mean we totes winged it and managed to go to heaps of places with barely any of our usual food research. Next stop was Burch & Purchese (647 Chapel Street, South Yarra, Melbourne) a delicious looking Sweet Studio that was on Masterchef and was a must-visit on our trip.

The famous wall of ingredients.

Back to home
I’m saving this and the previous post to read at work tomorrow. shhhh don’t tell my boss!
