Tuesday Chefs Club at Xanthi, Westfield Sydney

The rain! Oh gosh the rain! Hope you guys managed to keep dry and thanks Queenie for the long weekend! So anywhos with restaurant after restaurant closing their doors, Westfield Sydney has joined forces with restaurants in their centre and are offering a Tuesday night set menu for $30 which is pretty tops esp when work runs a bit late and the last thing you want to do when you get home is cook! Xanthi (Level 6, Dining Precinct) is one of my fav restaurants and I was lucky enough to try out the Chef’s Club deal last week. Kicking things off is a Greek Salad with splodges of creamy feta atop a pile of juicy vegetables.

Something that barely needs any introduction is the one and only Pork Belly Baklava! Helloooo beautiful! Flaky, crispy pastry enveloping fat juicy shreds of twice cooked pork belly with a sweet date and pistachio filling and topped with the best thing in the universe: PORK CRACKLING. GET IN MAH BELLY.

Lamb Skaras is one freaking delicious pile of tender slow cooked meat with baked potatoes and beans. The lamb was just perfectly seasoned with a smattering of oregano oh man I still have dreams about that lamb!

But the best part of any meal is of course dessert… Baklava Ice Cream is definitely a winner with smooth creamy ice cream with nubbins of pistachios and freaking awesome caramel sauce that seriously I could totally drink bucketloads of. Amazeballs.
