8.51pm ive been realli hungry lately and it doesnt help that i dont realli eat dinner... see i dont eat the same foods as my family so if its something i realli dont like then i go hungry- like last night all i got to eat was a twix... so today bright and earli in the morning i planned my dinner for the parental: king prawns in a potato flour batter with spicy salt. seriously these prawns are out of this world! sink your teeth in their soft juicy flesh and immediately the salty goodness of the batter calls to you for more, more, MORE!!! (and no i dont eat the heads... i'll chew on the tail and go for the prawn legs but i just cant eat things near the head... call me girly heh)

2.45pm i was going cabin crazy and finally managed to get out of the house... i managed to drive to parra and reverse park!!! haha sexy. i saw the footlong vege delite with mayo guy who works at the comp markets. i ate a chocolate crossant from bakers delite for brekkie. then went on a random walk thru every single store. restrained myself from buying a midlength skirt. made up for it by buying a block of chocolate and a packet of snakes. how good is it that its finally thurs!!! lost, e.r (double ep!), my restaurant rules and stargate! oh how i love you my teevee

4.37pm theres this girls food blog i read grab you fork where she takes heaps of fotos about places she eats in sydney and there was this realli pretty pink cake. it was shaped like a giant rose (minus the stem) and i sent the link to my parental who said we could drive there since my dad is on hols atm. so off we journeyed to 'sweet belem' in petersham. and since my mother directed the way there we inevitably got lost... 'look we just went past that shop twice!' 'are you sure?' 'im so sure that right now i can tell you their phone number off by heart!' hmm anyways we found the store and parked onli to find that it was frigging closed! *grumbles* so went next door and across the street to look at their cakes n pasties... i had a craving for portuguese tarts so the parental bought me a mixture of everything... mmm i was so ecstatically happy with my new stash (below) i took them out for lunchies at parra.

3.18pm its nearli that time of year again... chinese new year!!! and as tradition my mum buys all these fish... see you buy one for the period just before chinese new year and you let it go mouldy... yes mouldy... see in chinese the word for mould sounds like prosperity so you let the fish get mouldy and you get prosperity... and then after chinese new year you chuck then out and then buy another one to eat... mmm mould-free fish...

wed 2nd feb
11.59pm went to pizza on bella for dindins (why is it theres always little kids running around outside?) anyways we ordered garlic bread ($3.50) which was better than trellinis but still not how i like my garlic bread (crispy on the outside and soft and garlicky in the middle) and for mains i got the penne buona sera ($13.80) which was prawns, tasmanian scallops, garlic and nutmeg in a creamy sauce with penne pasta. it was pretty good at first, i ate a prawn and it was nice and crunchy meaning it was fresh and then i had a scallop which tasted weird becos there was more of the orange part than the scallop part so i left all the prawns and scallops to the end and by the time i reached them i felt ill becos the pasta had a weird scallop taste which pasta soo shouldnt taste like... noods got the veal parmajiana ($18.80) which was layered with so much mozzarella cheese and napoli sauce at first it tastes like youre eating lasagna... the veal was a bit on the chewey side and the accompanying eggplant was average.
total bill + 2 lemon lime bitters + garlic bread: $42

11.59pm dindins at la mantovana which is outside on the corner of castle towers carpark. noods was pregnant hungry (again) so got garlic bread ($3) which was average. for mains i got the penne al pesto ($11) which came with FRESH parmesian! DUDE! fresh! mmm... noods got the linguine agli which came with scampi in a napolitan sauce ($25.50) and seriously scampi is better than lobster...). we were still a bit hungry so we ordered sticky date pudding becos i keep seeing it on menus and was curious to see how good it was and DUDE it came with BUTTERSCOTCH sauce!!! *drools* swwweeeet
total bill + 2 cokes + garlic bread + sticky date pudding: $53
