8.46pm dinner at trellinis at castle towers piazza on fri nite. noods was pregnant hungry again but since the antipasto plate cost a bomb ($14.90) we settled for garlic bread ($5.50) which wasnt the greatest because they use sourdough bread which means the bread was soft and soggy and dude garlic bread is meant to be crispy and crunchy with a soft garlicky centre... hmm. anyways i got the rigatoni with chicken in a spinach cream sauce ($15.50) which tasted like a cross between pesto and avocado and was made more mmm with the extra scoop of fresh parmesian cheese but the chicken was a bit too tough and i ended up pushing the chicken to the side... noods got the blue cod toasted with parmesian cheese and baby potatos ($27) and oh my goodness toasted parmesian is beautiful! the salty goodness of cheese is like an explosion of taste in your mouth... mmm cheese... service was pretty good for once altho there was this asian waitress who kept looking at me and i had to keep asking noods if there was food on my face... hmm strange girl...

11.59pm went to a restaurant in calingford opposite the hardware house and next to carlo villge called janes kitchen. it looks like an ordinary chinese restaurant from the outside but inside, it looks like someones house- the walls are painted a bright yellow, the paintings look like those semi cheap ones you can get that are supposed to look good and theres ceiling to floor lace curtains... me n noods originally came so i could eat the salt and pepper squid and he could eat the pork ribs but noods seems to be pregnant again and wanted another dish so we orderd a fish dish... *shakes fist* not listening to you again pregnant noods! we had wayy too much food! my salt and pepper squid was sexy as alway (but too much squid body parts and not enough of the tentacle parts) and noods was pretty happy with his pork ribs in honey and black pepper sauce. the disappointment was the fish... first it arrived about halfway thru our meal so we were getting on the full side and DUDE it was not fresh the fish flesh had turned the dark greyish colour it goes when its been sitting in the freezer... and the skin at first was good becos we all love batter (mmm fatty) cept then it started getting a bit too oily and bleargh... and did all our food come with friggin parsley? service was alrite cept we didnt get free soup! the white ppl next to us got free soup!!! why didnt we??? and food was a bit pricey even for chinese food... oh and a stopoff at joeys for gelato (not included in price)

6.42pm anyone hungry? Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield, Pa. (yes america not australia children) has this ginormous monster burger called the '6-pound Ye Olde 96er' (so named because it contains 96 ounces of meat). total weight of this mutant monster is 11 pounds... whats it made up of? 6 pounds of beef, 12 slices of cheese, 1/2 a head of lettuce, 2 whole onions, 2 cups of peppers, 2 whole tomatos and 'a river of mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard'... and theres the 'denny challenge' where you have to finish his 11-pound burger -- the world’s largest commercially available -- under 3 hours and get that burger free, plus a whole bunch of other prizes... props to marj who sent me this... burger article

5.58pm in the event that noods and i get chased by a crazed zombie for several km and then out to sea for another km, we've started to exercise... we went to baulko and did a coupla laps on the oval and then to the pool for another coupla laps bwahahaa altho noods didnt last very long on the running... er or the swimming... hehe

fri 21st jan
11.59pm went exploring again and found another pizza pasta restaurant opposite red rooster in baulko called sienna. theres an indian restaurant next door which was dead and a chinese restaurant next to that claiming to have the best american ribs... we sat outside which was interesting because we could see the traffic zooming past so close to us... service was a bit slow but that was cos there was onli one waitress who seemed to be cooking at the same time... noods has been feeling extremely hungry for the last week for some reason (haha dude you must be pregnant) so we ordered garlic bread (i got no idea why we been ordering garlic bread lately... usually we think its a restaurants way to scrooge us) but it was warm and an absolutely beautiful mix of butter and garlic on thick slices of toasted bread... we shared a small salmon pizza which had smoked salmon, spanish onion, capers and camembert cheese which was sooo cheesey. i got the fettucine boscaiola which seemed as if they were skimping on the bacon and mushroom (which is good for me since i pick them out anyway hehe) and noods got the ribs which came with corn, baked potato and sour cream- ribs were damn tasty for the price ($10), corn a bit on the dry and tasteless side, potatos were so cute they looked like tiny boiled eggs! i was eyeing the triple mudcake on the menu but after all that food my stomach told me it would resist... ah wells we'll def be making a return venture...

wed 19th jan
11.59pm went to parra to get my stargate and stopped at nadias cafe (level 4 parra westfield) for brunch i got the pancakes with maple syrup which was SUCH a disappointment!!! dude it tasted exactly like maccas hotcakes and for 5 times the price!!! *grumbles* but noods got a bagel with salmon, cream cheese, onion and lettuce which was mmm... so much so that we went and tried to recreate it for noods' lunch 2morow... lol noods' bagel at nadias cost about $12 and groceries for 4 bagels cost $12 therefore $12/4= $3 per homemade bagel for noods...

tues 18th jan
11.59pm me n noods went exploring all the little cafes near baulkham hills stockland and we found this little pizza shop tucked in the corner of a mall called pronto pizza... we got garlic bread for starters cos i wanted something of breadlike substance and it was damn tasty! mmm garlic bread was nice n crunchy n loaded with garlic... and i got fettucing boscaiola which was pretty good im pretty sure the pasta was freshfresh as in the dude had made it from scratch... the pasta was a pale yellow and was so soft it felt like it was melting in my mouth mmm and noods got the 'ufo' pizza... basically a pizza with cheese, mushrooms, bacon, onion, capsicum and covered in a thin layer of pastry...

11.59pm lenes 21st bday last night was at the amo roma italian restaurant in the rocks. after a fun filled car ride there complete with "omg a car!" "you're driving on the wrong side!" "booo!" i think lene has come to the conclusion that me n noods are indeed nuts. we found parking and made our way to the restaurant where lene ran around trying to get the seating order all perfect. food was in alternate servings which was great cos noods cant eat prawns and i dont eat beef hehe and lenes colour speech was mad! my speech was so traumatising haha anyways happy bday lene! click here to see fotos!

fri 14th jan
11.59pm we had lunch at hornsby westfield at hmm its either called ramen japan or japan ramen... and you get free green tea! which noods doesnt like so what does he order? BOTTLED lipton peach ice tea... noods you should stay away from the sugar! *shakes fist* anywhos i got the tempura udon which was salty and tasty, the udon noodles are waaay better than the ramen (heh looks and tastes like 2min meegoreng!) and since it costs an extra $1 to have the tempura served on another plate i just got it normal ie tempura gets dumped into bowl of noodles and slowly starts disintegrating into a pile of tempura batter mush... but hey the rest of it was good! noods got the chilli beef ramen which looked spicy and had more vegetables than noodles!

6.40pm hahaha we came home after a bit of grocery shopping onli to find this little doggy in the pool area... as we all sat around and pondered how it managed to get in we watched in morbid fascination as the doggy tried to get out by sticking its head thru the bars... which didnt work so it tried other methods ie digging under the fence...

mon 10th jan
11.59pm went to trellinis at castle towers piazza for dinner since pizza on bella is closed on mondays (lol) and it looked like it wasnt busy (cos after our last time there we had a fugging 1 hr wait!!!) so we decided to give it another go... i got the smoked atlantic salmon with tagliari pasta which on previous occasions tasted absolutely beautiful but today the salmon tasted like it had been sitting in the sun for like, ten YEARS! and the pasta needed a whole bowl of cheese dumped on top or a whole salt shaker emptied just for some taste... noods got the veal fettucine and ya'll know how much i absolutely dislike meat of any form other than fish but compared to my food which was so dry and tasteless noods' food was so damn tasty that my fork in desperation would wander over and kidnap some of its contents just so i could get some taste into my food...

11.59pm went back to pizza on bella again becos whenever me n noods find a place that seems perfect in terms of food, service, price, atmosphere we will go back until something bad happens... which is what happened today... we arrived around 7pm to find that the restaurant was packed and we were asked if we wanted to sit outside. sure thing we said and off we went to sit outside. 35mins later shivering and cursing our food arrived. i got pasta- penne pasta with prawns and scallops in a cream sauce and dude those prawns were swimming everywhere in my pasta! but mmm fresh and juicy... scallops were a bit weird... there were 2 normalish sized scallops and one gigantic mutant sized scallop which i fed noods (bwahahaha) and noods got the half rack of ribs with bbq sauce, chips and corn which was good but smallish...

5.01pm haha youre right marj! all me and noods ever do is eat! lol and for some reason i like taking fotos of food! i love food!!! heh anyways noods had found a takeaway menu of a pasta place somewhere at home and so last night we decided to go and find it... its called pizza on bella and after initial misgivings about the area (dude the restaurant was part of a group of shops that looked like theyd all closed down) we entered to find a sexy interior with dark brown high backed chairs alternating with soft cushiony sofas at the back of the room. with great glee we realised as well as the menus there was also a 'specials menu' and we looove specials menus cos it makes it look like the restaurant likes to try new things so i ordered the penne pasta with prawns, pesto, avocado and cream which was pretty good (and the serving size was perfect) and was loaded with FRESH prawns so juicy it was like they were caught from the ocean 1 hr ago and noods got his barramundi (lol hes been wanting barramundi for yonks) with calamari, prawns and veges (the roasted potato was soooo nice all golden and crispy on the outside and soft and buttery on the inside).

8.50pm when someone asks you to do a speech for their 21st, after the initial 'nooo im terrified at public speaking' crosses your mind you begin to feel a sort of satisfaction that the person considers you that good a friend to let you embarass them at their own party... heehee arlene just you wait ive got the best speech HAHAHAHA!

wed 5th jan
11.59pm today i had this serious craving for pesto pasta but didnt want to go to little rock cos got off work earli and didnt want my boss dude to see me there lol so me n noods went to michaelangelos outside carlingford court... the past 2 times that we went we had pretty crappy food so we waited with great anticipation/anxiety as we counted down for our food to arrive. my pesto pasta was spankadelicious!!! ohhh baby so nice and pestoy and the PERFECT size (ie if serving is huge i feel guilty about not finishing my food) and noods' salmon pizza was yummy (at least way better than previous pizza) and was so close to being like a real decent u.s. pizza (cos dude u.s pizzas are the best in the world!)

tues 4th jan
11.59pm so whats the weirdest pizza youve ever had? belmontes pizzeria in w/p/h has this pizza called a 'boston delight' (below) looks pretty normal hey? oh but whats that sticking out near the top? it looks like a banana slice you say? why, you may indeed be correct... oh and theres peanut butter under all that CHEESE... thats right... a peanut butter and banana pizza with cheese...

mon 3rd jan
6.35pm mmm foody goodness... breakfast at little rock in north rocks... noods had the big breakfast (which has like THE best bacony goodness) and i had the mango chicken wrap with extra cheese (which was mmm cheesey)

and for lunchies we ate at eastwood at the 'very good restaurant' which after 2pm has the special of a bowl of noodles and super large glass of pearl tea for a sexy $5.50 mmm roasted duck and nooooodles

sun 2nd jan
7.01pm so planning ahead for once, me n noods bought ingredients to make dindins... CURLY fettucine, a bottle of alfredo sauce, 3 slices of sexy high quality bacon (mmm fat), and like, 5 mushrooms. a warning to all who have never cooked bacon before: IT SPITS AT YOU!!! and its DAMN hot!!! muthaf*cka *grumbles* anywhos ive been feeling sick for the past coupla days so i couldnt realli taste the pasta... but hey noods said it was good and he cant have been lying cos he had 2 servings and saved the leftovers to eat the next day...

sat 1st jan
11.59pm so me and noods went shopping and stocked up on junk food to bring with us to watch the fireworks. we arrived at milsons pt where we realised we wanted REAL food and after looking around at the lack of shops we debated the pros and cons of eating at pizza hut becos of the lines and lines of ppl. finally decided on getting the hawaiian pizza and just as we started lining up who did i see? BWADI!!! who was with will!!! hehe so me n noods ended up bringing our pizza back to sit with them where noods saw a uni friend with them (it was quite odd realli) anywhos me n noods had planned on a nice quiet spot away from all the crazies however the place where my old uni friends were just happened to be apparently the onli place to byo alcohol... so we were surrounded by wackies and crazies of all description... and thats including wills crazy viet friends lol but still it was good atmosphere and everything there hope ya'll had a good one!
