5.48pm im sick. i guess thats what happens when you go walking around in the rain at the easter show... so this (below) is whats on my table atm... huge box of tissues (for the sneezing duh), cocoa butter (to make nose feel not so sandpapery), water (im always thirsty when sick), yakult (mmm probiotics), oranges (my DADS way of making me get better), sudafed (MY way of getting better)

wed 23rd march
6.16pm so a trip to the easter show was planned today and me n noods set off in the rain with our goal being 'eat as much as possible'. first stop was the cheese on a stick stand and mmm melted cheese deep fried (*drools*)... noods got the hotdog on a stick (ew) and away we went to the corn cob stand where the corn was steaming hot and covered in salt and butter (couldve done with more salt). noods went to get a lamb souvlaki while i went to check out what the hell a cheese kraski was (hotdog on a stick with cheese and the deep fried) i was quite disappointed so went back to the cheese on a stick stand for 2nds (mmm more oil). by then we were quite wet (did i mention it was raining?) so went to check out the indoor stuff and saw cows, horses and weird looking sheep and then headed to the woolworths food centre where we got FREE FOOD!!! mmm free caramel nesquik, mango yoghurt and nudie shots... and then noods wanted to eat some oysters so headed over to dicostis for a dozen oysters ($14) mmm sexy (altho afterwards we went to stockland and found out a doz oysters cost $9) after all the food we decided to go to the showbag pavillion where i got the mega warheads and noods got the willy wonka bag. we bought a bucket of fairy floss, walked around and looked at the games and rides and then finally home sweet dry home.
total cost of everything: $180... haha ohhh myyy...

tues 22nd march
1.12pm dinner last night at il' lago in norwest was SUCH a disappointment! we thought the restaurant would be good considering they had more seating than any of the other restaurants in the area. i ordered gnocchi with walnuts and some dressing and noods got the crepes with crab meat and beetroot puree. man the gnocchi was tasteless! even after dumping spoon after spoon of parmesian on top! and me n noods were frantically shaking those salt n pepper shakers like there was no tomoro just to get some taste in our food and the waiter thought our shakers were broken cos we kept using them... blarghh soo not worth eating there cos the prices were inflated. we were still hungry so left the restaurant to go to trevi which was kinda next door to see if they had the sexy lemon merengue torte which they didnt *sniffs

sun 20th march
4.33pm hmmm two 21sts on the same night so first off jonnos 21st at his house where a pretty big selection of food awaited us from noodles to oysters to quiche to prawns to lollipops. the groups were pretty segregated with the church group eating their food in the garage and the uni group staying nice and close to the food. speeches were funnias heh noods good job! then road trip with seth, niloofa and sher to rheas 21st at the bristol arms hotel aka the retro hotel. made it there at about 11.15 onli to find out half n hr later that the bday girl was leaving! hung around for a bit then decided to go to pancakes which got cancelled cos the place was packed so drove around a bit more in search for a petrol station that wld be open and finally home! click here for fotos to jonnos and click here for fotos to rheas

thurs 17th march
11.14pm so one of my subjects is food product devlopment and our group has to make gluten free cookies. so this chick brought in a recipe that used some other type of flour and she was reading out the ingredients and i was thinking hmm that dont sound too appertising so i set out to make my own special cookies... after a grocery stop at coles and armed with sugar, peanut butter, eggs and various nuts the cookie making began! noods tried his hardest to help... notice the ginormous cookie? thats his special cookie...

wed 16th march
11.59pm me and noods had dinner at trevi lakeside in norwest. wooo new strip of restaurants to try out! everything was all sexy and new! and we got free entre becos they just opened! entree came with toasted bread and breadsticks and two dips one with olives and sun dried tomatos and the other hommus. for mains i got pasta with mixed crustaceans (mussels, clams, crab and scampi) and noods got squid ink pasta with clams and scampi. we were still hungry after that so got dessert and what sexy dessert!!! i got the swan shaped pastry filled with icecream and decorated with blueberries and raspberry coulis and noods got the lemon merengue torte which was so delicously light!

tues 15th march
11.59pm so i drove my mum to parra today to show her where the howards storage shop was cos she gets lost easily in parra and later we went to have a lunch of chicken pho at pho ben. while we were waiting for our food i managed to convince her that im getting a car hahaha so she reckons i shld get a "2nd hand car thats not too 2nd hand" and im like uh ohhkay then... anyways shes considering that im getting a car! which means i get to drive it right? right??? haha and i said i was getting it for my bday so hopefully parentals will pay half! mmm sexy no more trains for me!

mon 14th march
11.59pm went to macquarie and found a new lollie shop called bliss which makes popcorn as well. noods reckons its gonna take over the kernels franchise since they have nearli the same types of popcorn plus a whole range of lollies... we cldnt decide on what to get so bought 2 packets! hehe we got the boiled apple candy and the sour eeries which werent very sour but still tasted interesting

after chars me n noods went to hogs breath cafe in towers cos i was craving cheese and some form of dessert. so i got the crumbed camembert served with toasted bread slices and cranberry sauce which was absolutely heaven! imagine melted gooey cheese and then deep fried! mmm sooo good... oh and i got the apple crumble which was pretty soggy and didnt taste fresh...

11.59pm i still cant beat my record of 7 ribs... disappointing... and outback steakhouse your service was CRAP but i love your potato soup so you are forgiven... mmm cheesey and potatoey soup...

wed 9th march
11.59pm so ive been watching my restaurant rules for about 2 weeks now and for some reason i realli wanted to go to the nsw restaurant, pink salt in manly. i managed to convince noods that the food would be sexy and off we went not realli knowing how to get there. several detours and circles around manly wharf occured before we finally spotted the restaurant and silly me forgot to take a foto of the outside but from street level you wouldnt know it was there unless you went hunting. but we parked (2 hrs free parking w00t!), stood at the doorway for ages and were shown to our comfy cushiony seats. we got free bread which came with olive oil and balsamic (sp?) vinegar and look at our super sexy mocktails! mine was mint, apple and lime and noods' was mango, passionfruit and cream. we decided to skip the entrees becos we're a lil poor and cant afford $18 entrees... so straight to the mains! i got "chargrilled swordfish on caponata & rocket pesto" which was beautifully presented and the swordfish was so tender and was a great match with the rocket (which i dont normally like). noods got the "blue swimmer crab & peas with squid ink parpadelle pasta" and we were expecting the crab still in its shell and so we were pleasantly surprised to find a ginormous mound of REAL crab meat on the pasta (which was a little disturbing because of the colour). both mains tasted great (and for the price $33 so it should!) and just as we were about halfway into our meal that i see this guy come up to our table and ask if our food was ok. i thought it was some waiter checking up on us but then i had to do a double take becos it was evan! live! in person! im so used to seeing his head inside a tv! like woahh hehe anyways i got a foto with him n noods managed to slip in how his menus were pretty dodgy and he agreed hehe so yes that was the highlight of my week! seeing/meeting/talking to someone whos like semi famous!
