Best Burgers in Sydney
So I was going to do my usual round-up of my fave eats of the year and I was looking at my photos and daaaamn I ate a lot of burgers haha so I’ve decided to do a list of all the burgers in Sydney! I’m not gonna rate or score them, but pretty much every burger listed below I would happily eat. Ready? OKAY!

Bang Bang
Come for the burgs, stay for the tunez. New burger creations specials every week.
113 Reservoir St, Surry Hills

Bare Grills
Fat, juicy patties and gotta love that trademark branding on the buns.
Shop 15 / 425 Bourke St, Surry Hills

Bar Luca
The Blame Canada burger is my unicorn burger! It’s roll your eyes to the heavens delicious, ridiculously saucy and has the added bonus of poutine fries shoved in.
52 Phillip Street, Sydney

Bella Shack
The food truck is parked outside Bella Vista Hotel, enjoy your juicy burg in the courtyard with a beverage or two.
13-15 Lexington Dr, Bella Vista

Belly Bao
Ahhh the Baoger, the hybrid Taiwanese bao crossed with a burger surprisingly works and is in my top 5 fave burgers. The bao buns holds up against the juicy fillings and you just GOTTA add in a hashbrown for that crunch!
Hudson Ballroom, 53-55 Liverpool St, Sydney

Bovine and Swine
Technically they call this a sandwich but well, I reckon the brisket sandwich makes the list! If you haven’t had the brisket here before you just haven’t lived! Oh and order the beef short rib and share between 3!
92 Enmore Rd, Newtown

Brooklyn Depot
The burger of the month is guaranteed to be one cray cray concoction with many forms of animals stuffed into a burger.
65 Holt St, Surry Hills
Burger Project
Many sneer at this chain of burgs but well it’s good for a quick feed and the patties are made in house daily with beef sourced from Cape Grim Tasmania.
Shop 11.06, World Square 644 George Street, Sydney
Burgers AnonymousThis burg shop has mighty stiff competition, located across from BL Burgers and just up the road from Guilty. But the bacon here is da bomb!
80 Oxford Street, Darlinghurst
Burgers By JoshBurgers by Josh popped up at various locations in 2016 and have now set up permanent digs at the Annandale Hotel.
Annandale Hotel, 17 Parramatta Rd, Annandale
ButterButter’s fried chicken is off the chain but you gotta try their burg with a generous slather of dashi butter! Check out the sneaker display too.
6 Hunt St, Surry Hills
Cafe IshJosh is pumping out classic milkbar burgs, crispy fries and ice cold milkshakes.
105 Regent St, Redfern
Chicken & SonsAs well as wood smoked chicken, Chicken & Sons also does pretty damn tasty burgs and all come with a side of golden fries.
228 Victoria Ave, Chatswood
ChurChur is Kiwi slang for delicious, my fave is the grilled beef with blue cheese and onion rings.

Coogee PavilionThe cheese burg is simple but tasty, I particularly like the steamed and then grilled bun.

Five Points BurgersGo for The Bronx burg with a grilled beef pattie, double cheese, pickles and bacon.
124 Walker St, North Sydney
GojimaSurprisingly a massive hit with me, sheets of crispy rice replace the burger buns and I absolutely loved the miso salmon sushi burger!
The Star, 80 Pyrmont St, Pyrmont
GuiltyGuilty’s Rowdy Double Jeopardy burg is my second fave cheeseburg in Sydney with crisp bacon and a spicy kick from the jalapenos. It’s not massive so I could probably eat a burger a day and not feel like dying 😛
248 Palmer St, Darlinghurst
HoostOk technically this guy shouldn’t be in the list because Hoost have stopped brunch service and not selling this burger but daaaamn it was good! Look at that river of molten smoked cheese!

HubertThe steak frites and the fried cheese Malakoff at Hubert make me weak at the knees but little known fact, they also have one smashingly delicious burger on the menu!
15 Bligh Street, Sydney
JacksJacks burgs are on the small side so they’re good for a snack if you’re in the Newtown area, I particularly love the crinkle cut fries!

Juicy LucyAhhhh Juicy Lucy is my number one favourite chicken burger in Sydney! I looked at my uber eats history and basically I averaged one burger a week haha oops but the batter is always so crispy and the chicken is extremely juicy, suh good!
232A Elizabeth St, Surry Hills
Kansas City ShuffleThe fried chicken sandwich on a donut bun is pretty killer, love the slaw.
195 Gloucester St, The Rocks
Mary’sCheeseburgers can be a lil squishy but the smoked bacon is amazing and you gotta get the mash and gravy for your fries! The fried chicken burg from their CBD location is a winner too.

Mr Gee Burger TruckThe Truffe! Each week I wait to see if the Truffe Burger is making the rotation because their truffle aioli is friggen bomb!
