Letra House is my new favourite restaurant, located behind Palazzo Salato on Kent St with a mainly tapas focussed menu similar to the now closed La Salut A must order is the plump raw red Carid prawns tostada with a sprinkle of paprika.
The smooth duck liver parfait with cherries in a crisp brandysnap cup is another winner; the beautiful smoked sardine on crispy potato skin is fantastic and the socarrat with tender pippies and firefly squid is just straight up delicious.
For mains we went for the Rangers Valley sirloin which was MB7 and is perfectly cooked. I loved swiping some egg yolk with each bite and alternating with a pepper for the spicy kick.
For dessert the cherry crumble is delightful, warm from the oven and a scoop of refreshing sheep’s milk sorbet cuts through the richness.
