happy pancake day dudes! shrove tuesday aka pancake day is the last day before the period of Lent. according to wiki “pancakes are associated with the day preceding Lent because they were a way to use up rich foodstuffs such as eggs, milk, and sugar, before the fasting season of the 40 days of Lent.” i had some blueberries stashed in the freezer, a quick defrost and tadah!

i dont usually make pancakes. after working at a certain pancake restaurant im all pancaked out! but this year i thought id whip up a batch so i could play with my new lens (ef 50mm f/1.8). i found a frypan that was meant to be used to fry one egg heh so i made mini pancakes which um i guess is kinda like a pikelet…

MAH chocolate chip stack! erm i went a little crazy on my recipe and doubled it because i thought i didnt have enough mix hurhur my bad

icecream makes me happy. as does extra chocolate chips. oh how i wish i made the effort to make chocolate sauce!

and then i got bored and tried being smart and poured some pancake mix into my gingerbread man cookie cutter… cept he got stuck! but a little push and…

hee hee harlo gingy pancake!

lol sorry last shot of my pretties!

the awesome Billy from A Table For Two will be donating all profits generated from advertisements from his website to UnitingCare so hop on over and check out his pancake day event!
Back to home
the gingerbread man is cute!
your pancakes look so professional. wait, hang on a minute, you were a professional! soon you’ll be an expert on the 50mm/f1.8 too :)
— Helen Feb 24, 01:59 AM #Wow, the first shot is uber-pro – it looks like it’s straight out of a magazine…me has lens envy…
— Chris Feb 24, 08:34 AM #The cookie cutter pancake was absolute genius! Did it taste as good as any of the others?
Also, it’s been ages since I’ve last seen Gabriel Gaté.

— chocolatesuze Feb 27, 01:43 PM #Hi, I’m Nancy. I came across your site while scoping around checking out other food blogs since I can’t do much with my camera in hospital. Great site! Your photo reminds me of the pancake I made last weekend; banana blueberry pancake, that was. I also enjoy baking and hope to see you at the market.
