we were at The Curve attempting to find the boy some shoes when we spotted the Nanxiang Steamed Bun restaurant which is another chain of dumpling restaurants thats as famous as Din Tai Fung. we’d walked past it several times that day and only just saw a sign for a giant xiao long bao as we were leaving. i pleaded my case for the need to have such a bao and the boy shrugged and said hed watch me eat lol


xiao long bao maker! when i told noods the size of the ‘giant’ xiao long bao he luckily ordered another one so i wouldnt have to share heh

the giant xiao long bao filled with crab roe, dried scallop with double boiled soup (RM15). heh drinking soup with a straw!


the super cheerful waitresses warned us the soup would be hot and to let it sit for a while. at first we waited as long as we could but then still burned our tongues lol so started stabbing at it to get to the soup which was so tasty and packed with fresh ginger
