American Doughnut Kitchen, Melbourne + Giant Bean Bag

So I went to Melbourne for work last week and managed to finally FINALLY make it to the American Doughnut Kitchen Van! I love doughnuts. I have dreams about doughnuts. I could eat my weight in doughnuts. Ok maybe not but I would love to try haha this time I settled for a bag of 6 doughnuts for $6.


There was a short queue for the donuts so I went and peeped into the window to have a looksee at what everyone raves about. Hello freshly fried donuts!


Give em a bit of a rest from their baptism of hot oil before unapologetically shoving them onto the end of a machine which pumps them full of sweet sweet jam and then a little roll in sugar.


Oh helloooo there. The red on my finger? That ain’t nail polish no siree that there be jam that has oozed ever so slowly onto my hand while I was fumbling for my phone to take a pic. I ended up with jam all over my shoe but oh golly gosh was it worth it! Warm fluffy innards trap the river of raspberry jam and it is just so glorious standing on the side of the road in the chilly almost-Winter air and clutching a bag of piping hot donuts while trying to ever so delicately scarf the donut in record time while brushing away errant crumbs of sugar from your face and managing to schmear jam everywhere instead…


And ok this ain’t food related but woooot I finally got a beanbag! My first ever beanbag! Giant beanbag is so giant that it’s the same size as our 2 seater couch haha


Oh and this is what happens when you reckon you can fill a beanbag even though you’ve had a couple of drinks… Beanbag beans everywhere! We decided against vacuuming them up cos otherwise the beans would be coated in dust lol we’re still finding random beans everywhere!
