El Xampanyet, Barcelona

Barcelona had so many delicious places to eat at and one of our favourites was at El Xampanyet. First some house made cava champagne. Then a parade of small plates arrived of tuna belly, anchovies and tomato bread.

The grilled octopus with a light layer of paprika was incredibly tender, then the Langostines which were so juicy and just so flavourful.

We ordered a half serve of the Iberian Coppa Joselito which was awesome and so fatty.

The flavour of the diced beef fillet was insane and the blistered padron peppers were smokey and only a little spicy.

Finally the wild mushrooms arrived which had such an incredible depth of flavour.

For dessert the Catalan custard with millefeuille pastry was the perfect sweet bite to end the meal.
